Pieced by Paula Grossman and quilted by Donna Ludwig of Quilting Up A Storm. The quilt is my vision of Karen Stone's pattern, New York Beauty. I used many black fabrics sprinkled with glitter throughout the quilt to depict the New York sky. I chose muted tones of fushsia and blue to show the sky at different times of the day and seasons of the year. The remaining fabrics where chosen to represent the colored lights in time square and the New York theater district at night. the two large gold stars in the center of the quilt represents the lights that shine over the Statue of Liberty.
